Identifying Birdsong, Kirkdale April 23rd

led by Jim Pewtress

As this meeting was at six o’clock in the morning I’m afraid I didn’t make it. Jim writes:

“11 people turned out at 6.00am in dull cold weather. Unfortunately the only migrant to be heard was Chiffchaff with the full list being Wren, Song Thrush, Woodpigeon,Robin, Chaffinch, Nuthatch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Goldcrest, Coal Tit & Blue Tit.

On the way back came round Bransdale. Two Ring ouzel at Shaw Rigg and plenty of Curlew. 10 immature Common Gulls north being attacked by Lapwing.”
