We are collating records of all the species which have been recorded in Ryedale, with the records going back into the 19th century in some cases. Don Smith, FRES, our current Lichen and Fungi Recorder, has produced a great number of species lists which are downloadable as zipped Excel or text files.

We have lists for:

• Rushes and Sedges, and see Don Smith’s lists
• Ferns and Horsetails, and see Don Smith’s lists
• Mosses & Liverworts, etc.

• Fungi: see Don Smith’s lists. We also have a few pictures.
• Reptiles and amphibians (planned)
• Insects (see Don Smith’s lists)

The above lists (excluding Don Smith’s) can be dowloaded as a zip file of comma-separated text files (16K).
